…if I were a professional critic, whose responsibilities include the reviewing of amateur productions, some with a lot of young people in the cast who are at an impressionable stage in their lives and perhaps lacking in confidence I might think twice before criticising…

• Their lack of confidence
• Their stiffness
• Their orchestra’s tempo
• Their Orchestra’s string section’s ability
• Their sceneshifting
• Their queues [sic]
• Their lead actors’ chemistry
• Their lead actor’s (age 11) caution
• Their sound timing
• Their direction
• Their choreography
• Their lack of rehearsal
• Their accents
• their body language…
