Simple story.
My son’s nine pals (nice kids, 16 years old) are on a cycling holiday on Tiree.
Or rather, they should be if one total cock at Scot Fail had let them.
But no.
He confiscated their bikes.
All nine of them.
They had cycled to Linlithgow from South Queensferry this morning, then took the train to Glasgow Queen Street.
(They had not booked their bikes onto this train. But there was no cock conductor on that particular vehicle – and in my experience there usually isn’t – most of them work in stations where they have safety in numbers to abuse their authority and then have a laugh about it at the tea break.)
They then cycled to Central Station to board the train to Oban before getting the ferry to Tiree.
But guess what?
An absolute total cock of a jobsworth bastard at Central said they hadn’t pre booked their bikes on the train and wouldn’t let them on, with their bikes, so they had to leave their bikes in Glasgow.
At the height of the season I imagine that train gets busy and pre-booking is a necessity.
On Tuesday June 7th at around 7am?
Give me a fucking break.
I wasn’t there, but I’ve met most of the people who work in customer facing jobs at Scot Fail and this is not an isolated incident.
Some of them are great.
Most of them are good, but the rotten apples like this guy are a cancer in this business.
These people disgust me.
Because it’s young lads that were “breaking the rules” and they have the authority to enforce them, they think they can wield authority (enthusiastically, I’m sure) in such a way that it ruins their holidays.
I hope the fuck wit sleeps well tonight.
