I understood that Tommy Sheridan had a six month gagging order placed on him in return for an early release after one year of his three year sentence for perjury.
I have nothing against Tommy Sheridan and frankly think everyone in that case was probably at it. He was the only one that “allegedly” got found out.
If he perjured he needs to do his time and he’s stoically put his hands up and got on with it which I must say I admire in terms of principals.
However, I found it amusing that despite the gagging order the Daily Record (an organ of highly dubious quality – unless you’re a Rangers fan) had no less than its first seven pages dedicated to him yesterday on the day of his release.
It makes you wonder, in moral terms alone, what Fred Goodwin would get.
