I like to garden.  Mark likes to drink.

What you will find on my gardening page is tips and hints on how to improve your garden.  Jobs to be undertaken at this time of year, gardening “things”  with Greenferry and Suntrap that I have been up to and a  “Gardening Question” section.  So feel free to post your queries and hopefully I will be able to help or send you in the right direction.    Check out the baldy on the Greenferry Site.

Superfast

I hope all you gardeners have been out over the last couple of days enjoying this fine gardening weather.  I spent yesterday at Suntrap weeding out the last of the bedding plants and getting the beds ready for the winter.  Today I’ve enjoyed some beautiful sunshine working out on the decking, which looks out to the Forth, at a local restaurant Orocco Pier.  The sun was shining, the sea was lapping up on the shore and the Superfast Ferry came sailing up the Forth into Rosyth.  Bliss.  Oh, I also did some gardening I planted two beautiful black bamboos into two stainless steel planters.

So get those warms clothes out and enjoy the last of this wonderful weather.

Great to have a link to us on your site. I have a question: what do you think of ornamental cabbages? And does Suntrap have a webpage I can look at? OK, that’s two questions and I can’t count.

Ornamental cabbage makes crap soup. That’s all I know.

If people don’t like ornamental cabbage what plants would they want to see?

I think that the cabbages look great - but I did have to ask someone what they were! Are they edible? Will Christmas lunches in Queensferry include “local” boiled cabbage?
